PORTFOLIO #1 Cesyl Secioria's Technicolor Life Mini Album

Whew. It has been such a looooooooong time for me from the last time I updated this blog. Sigh. Man, I was so busy. I have loads of school stuffs [not to mention the excessive number of tests to be done in a week] that hinders me from posting.

Without further ado, let me present my first portfolio session with one of my dearest girls, Cesyl Secioria. You may get a hint of who she is from her last name, and yes, she is the daughter of one of Indonesia's top musical maestros, the late Elfa Secioria.

She is on the way to producing her very first jazz-themed mini album entitled "Technicolor Life" - here are the stills of the photos I took [and several styling I did on her outfits] which might be used as features in her mini album later on.

THE MORNING: PREPARATION

PHOTO-SESSION!

PHOTOGRAPHY & STYLING BY AKHMAD Z. ( @heyyrafi)

Soooo, those are some of my best stills from the photo-shoot. Make sure you guys keep yourself posted for her mini album release [which is actually her personal project, as one of the requirement to complete her IB programme at her school] - but is still very enjoyable especially for jazz music lovers, Indonesian music supporters, or music fans alike. You can contact her through twitter- @cesylathayaF!

reminisce.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who keep reading this blog. Although i'm genuinely not that sure that all of you are loyal enough to keep track of my writings, which are dumb - most of the time. But still, thank you heaps for all you aliens who keep reading  my posts.

I just did my IGCSE Exam earlier today and it was extremely displeasing. I manage to do most of it but doubted my reasoning on several others - I may be dead by now.

Anyways, I went to a place called Kota Tua, which is basically the only place that preserves, well, old heritages and is the closest artistic place for us Jakarta people to take excessive amounts of photos.

So here are several of my "Gosh I'm so proud of my artistic intelligence" photos

So yeah, these are some of the photographs I took there - fyi, I'm using an Olympus semi-pro camera, and retouched using Pixlr. I'm really into dark photographs lately and attempts my best to do so.

I got no time to post my recent style because I actually planned to post my style while visiting a nearby amusement park in Jakarta - but I needed to pass a lot of hard obstacles to receive the photos from my friends.

That's it for now.

Adieu, Rafi

stay dope.

A new start.

Well oh well, I never did a decent introduction to either myself or this blog of mine. So I decided to create one right now.

  1. My name is Rafi and i'm 15 years of age, but due to something I don't know, my face makes me seem like someone older, I don't know, like 25 something? Yeah I get that a lot.
  2. I am never this really confident kid thing, I'm not that good at maths and sciences and probably everything that has something to do with numbers and formulas. I just have this weird obsession to good grammar and amazing English, or maybe it's just me lol.
  3. This blog is a "personal style-dry humor-self publication" kind of blog so you may find different stuffs. I don't post that much, but I always try to keep my posts different and, well, me.
  4. My style. Ugh I always have a hard time stating a bold statement about how I define my style. I can get really moody and bipolar when it comes to what I wear. Most times I wear stuffs like graphic-tees, acid jeans, high-tops when I'm feeling laid back. But when I get dressy and prep, I prefer wearing my plaid-ey oxford shirts, chinos, and a pair of fresh brogues or good kicks. To sum it all, my style is this skater-ey, with a little smudge of 80s/90s thrift store feel - but beware, I can take you back to a 1920s Broadway show when I feel like it.
LORD THIS POST TURNS OUT TO BE SOOO LONG. Okay so maybe that's a tweeny little intro about me-self. Stay dope.
